For a premium pool finish, tiles are the material of choice and more expensive than other finishes. Giving a luxuriously smooth, long lasting, and easy to maintain surface. Selecting the correct tiles for the pool will produce a pool of stunning beauty or even an injection of unique flavour. At Boomerang Pools we use ceramic and glass tiles. Glass tiles will produce a very luxurious and exotic finish.
Keep in mind that tiles aren’t the best option for every pool style.
Water line tiles are another option if a fully tiled pool is not within your budget, or does not suit the style of your pool. Water line tiles vary in width depending on the size of the pool and personal taste, normally between 150mm and 300mm.
Every finish changes how your pool looks and feels, so it pays to think about a few things before you decide.
- Colour: lighter interiors give the water a brighter, clearer look, while darker interiors give a deeper tone. Look at samples in daylight and, if you can, under water.
- Feel underfoot: some finishes are smoother than others, which matters if children or older family members will use the pool often.
- Maintenance: think about how much time you want to spend brushing and cleaning, and how the finish suits your water care routine.
- Surrounds: the finish should work with your coping, paving and the rest of your outdoor area. Our coping and tiling and mosaic options can be chosen at the same time, so the whole pool is planned together.
We discuss the interior finish with you during the planning stage, alongside the shape, features and surrounds of the pool.
